Request for Proposal For Cayman Islands National Museum Fire Protection Engineering Design Services and Construction Supervision This request is an invitation by the Cayman Islands Government (“CIG”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for a procurement as further described in Section A of the Procurement Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”). The Cayman Islands National Museum (CINM), is seeking a: Design Engineer Consultant to submit quotations for the provision of services for a Fire Protection System at the Cayman Islands National Museum building, which is a two-storey building which is an historical artefact, and special consideration should be given towards the preservation of the historical parts of the building. The building is approximately 5200 sq. ft. located at Block 14 B, Parcel H62, # 3 Harbour Drive, George Town. The Design Engineer Consultant is required to: 1. Undertake a comprehensive review of the existing facility, taking into account the nature of the building, its essential services, and the content therein with the aim of submitting a report** with the recommendations of a suitable Fire Protection System or systems. 2. Prepare an Engineering Design document (Schematic Design, Design Development and Contract Documentation) suitable to obtain approval from the Central Planning Authority (CPA) and Building Control Unit (BCU). 3. Provide supervisory services during construction. 4. Provide construction close out assistance.
