Request For Expression Of Interest Madagascar Road Sector Sustainability Project Pddr Vbg Recruitment For 05 Years The Project Development Objective (Pdo) Is To Improve The Longevity, Safety And Climate Resilience Of Some Major Paved Roads In Madagascar. The Project Has Three Main Components: Component 1. Improving The Condition And Resilience Of Roads (Usd 180 Million) To Finance Works And Consultancy Services To Support Periodic And Routine Maintenance Of Paved Primary Roads In Different Regions Of Madagascar. It Is Estimated That About 1,200 Km Of Paved Roads In Fair To Poor Condition - Representing 20% Of The National Paved Network - Will Benefit From Periodic Maintenance Under This Project. Component 2. Technical Assistance And Support For Roads And Transport Sector Reforms (Usd 20 Million) To Mainly Support Advisory Services And Goods Aimed At Building Capacity And Institutional Strengthening Activities In The Road And Transport Sector To To Ensure The Sustainability Of Connectivity. Component 3. Emergency Response Component. This Component Will Facilitate Access To Rapid Funding By Allowing The Reallocation Of Uncommitted Funds From The Project In The Event Of A Natural Disaster, Either Through A Formal Declaration Of National Emergency Or At The Formal Request Of The Government. This Component Will Use The Ida Immediate Response Mechanism
