ECC is looking to procurement a new Intensive Assessment Bed Service (6 units/beds)for Essex North East and West quadrants. Based on broad stakeholder engagement and co-produced with individuals with lived experience, ECC has developed a new Mental Health Accommodation model composed of a range of provision at different Tiers to support the differing needs of People with Mental Health needs across Essex who require support in accommodation. The new model reflects the need for a system change to broaden the provision to match more complex needs to the best recovery settings, and to reduce the number of people placed outside of the County boundary. There are four service levels complementing a whole system change, which include Intensive Assessment Beds (see IAB specification) and support in the community: Intensive Assessment Beds Complex (Tier1) High (Tier 2) Medium and Low (Tier 3) ECC has recently awarded Tier 1 - Tier 3 contracts in North-East and West Essex and is now tendering the IAB service with a view to award one contract for a duration of 4 years and 10 months to be co-terminus with the rest of the model in North East and West Essex.
