Expression Of Interest Are Invited For Study On River Transport Economic Potential (Niger River, Mali). Mali Is A Vast Continental Country, Without Direct Access To The Sea. Two Major Rivers, The Senegal And The Niger, Flow Through Mali, With The Niger Being The Larger Of The Two. With Its 4,200 Km In Length, The Niger River Is The Third Longest River In Africa, After The Nile And The Congo. A Consultant Is Sought To Undertake A Study Of The Economic Potential Of River Transport On The Niger River In Mali, For Each Of The Two Navigable Stretches Taken Separately (Guinean Border To Bamako, For The Southern Stretch, And Koulikoro To Gao For The Northern Stretch), Both For The Transport Of People And For That Of Goods. The Study Will Focus On The Analysis Of The Potential Demand For Transport And Conclude With Recommendations For Development Policies Related To Inland Water Transport, Logistics, And River Environmental Protection, With The Aim Of Promoting Inland Navigation On The Niger River In Harmony With Other Modes Of Transport.
