ARCHITECTURAL | ENGINEERING SERVICES For Deep Energy Retrofit Projects The proposed project(s) involves: Professional Services for up to three Deep Energy Retrofit Projects to include Design, Procurement/Bidding and Construction Administration Services. The facilities chosen for the Retrofit will be identified in the Deep Energy Retrofit Master Planning Evaluation as top priority candidates. Deep Energy Retrofit Master Planning is in process and is being conducted by 2KB Energy Services LLC.; prioritized facilities will be identified in October, 2022. For the purpose of this RFQ a deep energy retrofit is defined as “a whole facility integrated energy analysis and design process and facility renovation focused on a goal of achieving substantial on-site energy use reduction (ideally Professional Services required for this project may include, but are not limited to, the following: • Verification of existing conditions • On-Site Investigation (potentially including destructive demolition and patching as necessary) • Facility Evaluation including Roof and Envelope • Code Review including NC Building, Fire and Energy Codes • Mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering • Energy/Carbon Analysis and Modelling • Building Automation and system controls • Lighting/Daylighting Evaluation • Review and Approval by all local and State Regulatory Agencies • Design/Construction Documents and Specifications • Cost Estimation • Development & Coordination of Bid Package(s) • Procurement Services • Construction Administration • Close Out • Warranty Phase (including 10-month post walk)
