Purpose Of Procurement Pursuant To The State Purchasing Act (Official Code Of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 Et Seq.), This Electronic Request For Proposals (Erfp) Is Being Issued To Establish A Contract With A Qualified Supplier Who Will Provide An On-Demand Bicycle Sharing System (Bike Share System Or System) To The Board Of Regents Of The University System Of Georgia By And On Behalf Of The University Of Georgia (Hereinafter, The State Entity , University Of Georgia , Uga , Or The University ) As Further Described In This Rfp.&Nbsp;&Nbsp; The University Of Georgia Seeks To Develop A User-Friendly And Intuitive Bike Share System Through An Agreement With A Single Vendor. The Proposed Bike Share System Is To Be An Extension Of Uga S Transportation Network And Offer A New Mobility Option For Students, Faculty, Staff And Visitors. The System Is Intended To Complement The University S Transportation Options By Providing Affordable Access To Bicycles. The System Is Anticipated To Be Available To Users 24-Hours Per Day, 7 Days Per Week, 365 Days Per Year Except During Uga Home Games And Uga Commencement. It Is Envisioned That Providing This Service Will Ease Traffic And Parking Congestion, Reduce Auto Use, And Increase Transit And Walking Within The System S Service Area. Uga Requires A Turn-Key Bike Share Service That Is Scalable With Predictable Costs And A Guaranteed Level Of Service. The System To Be Proposed By The Vendor Shall Include Initial Provision Of 150 (With Potential To Expand Up To 300) Class 1 Electric Pedal-Assist Bicycles, Software (User Interface And Manager Data Dashboard), Bicycle Maintenance, Bicycle Redistribution (Balancing), 24/7 Operation And Customer Service, Rider Safety Education, And Marketing Support. All Bicycles Provided By Vendor Shall Meet The Standards Outlined In The Code Of Federal Regulations (Cfr) Under Title 16, Chapter Ii, Subchapter C, Part 1512 Requirements For Bicycles. Additionally, All Models Of Bicycles In The Fleet Shall Meet The Safety Standards Outlined In Iso 43.150 Cycles, Subsection 4210. Bicycles Shall Include Integrated Head- And Tail-Lights That Comply With Georgia Code 40-6-296(A), Turn On Automa
