General Procurement Notice For Rwanda - Energy Access And Quality Improvement Project. Project Title: Rwanda - Energy Access And Quality Improvement Project Notice No: Op00182410 The Government Of Rwanda Has Received Financing In The Amount Of Us$ 160 Million And Eur 80 Million Equivalent From The World Bank And Agence Française De Développement (Afd) Toward The Cost Of The Energy Access And Quality Improvement Project (Eaqip), And It Intends To Apply Part Of The Proceeds To Payments For Goods, Works, Related Services And Consulting Services To Be Procured Under This Project. This Project Will Be Jointly Co-Financed By The Agence Française De Développement (Afd). The Project Will Include The Following Components: Increasing Access To Grid Electricity: Grid Extensions And Consumer Connections In Gicumbi, Musanze, Rulindo, Burera, Ngororero, Nyabihu, Rubavu, Rusizi, Nyamasheke, Karongi And Rutsiro Districs Enhancing The Efficiency Of Electricity Service: Rehabilitation Of Ntaruka Hydro-Power Plant (Ntaruka Hpp) By Restoring Of Its Capacity To Its Installed Capacity Of 11.25 Mw And Upgrading Of The Control Systems And Other Electromechanical Equipment. Improve Stability And Reliability Of The Power System By Installation Of (I) Static Voltage Compensators (SvcS) At Select Substations; And (Ii) Power System Stabilizers Improvements In The Operational Performance Of Eucl, Through Financing And Support For, Extension Of EuclS Smart Meter Program To The Distribution Network Increasing Access To Off-Grid Electricity And Clean Cooking Solutions: Increasing Off-Grid Electricity Access, Through Financing And Support For Results Based Financing Facility To Off-Grid Solar Companies (Oscs) (Rbf-Osc Facility) Increasing Access To Clean Cooking Solutions, Through Financing And Support For:Results Based Financing Facility For Clean Cooking Solutions (Rbf[1]Ccs Facility) Technical Assistance, Institutional Capacity Building And Implementation Support Capacity Building Across The Energy Sector Agencies Including, Inter Alia, In The Following Areas: Energy Sector Planning, Technical Skills Development, Audit, Compliance And Gender Technical Assistance And Institutional Capacity Building To Support An Enabling Environment For The Clean Cooking Sector Development.
