Expression Of Interest Are Invited For Climate Change Impact And Adaptation Modeling For Zimbabwe. Climate Change Is A Major Risk To Good Development Outcomes, And The World Bank Group Is Committed To Playing A Role In Helping Countries Integrate Climate Action Into Their Core Development Agendas. The Country Climate And Development Reports (Ccdrs) Aim To Help Countries Shift From Addressing Adaptation As An Incremental Cost And Isolated Investment To Systematically Incorporating Climate Risks And Opportunities At Every Phase Of Policy Planning, Investment Design, Implementation And Evaluation Of Development Outcomes. This Request For Expressions Of Interest Is For An Assignment To Develop A Water-Landuse-Energy Nexus Model That Assesses The Biophysical Impacts Of Climate Change On (E.G. On Agricultural Production, Soil Run-Off, Water Availability For Cities And Water For Energy Etc.). The Model Should Integrate Or Work With A Hydro-Economic Model To Assess Economic Damage (E.G. From Flooding, Drought Etc.) And Identify Adaptation Measures For The Water-Land Use-Energy Nexus (E.G. Afforestation, Land Restoration, Water Harvesting Etc.). The Model(S) Should Be Applied To A Series Of Policy Scenarios (E.G. Business-As-Usual, Aspirational Development And Resilient Development) Across A Range Of Climate Projections (E.G. Ssps, Rcps, Gcms). The Aim Is To Compare And Contrast Adaptation Options And Identify Tradeoffs And Synergies Across The Water-Land Use-Energy Nexus. The Outputs Should Allow For Geographic Disaggregation (E.G. By County, Agro-Ecozone And/Or Rural Livelihood Types Such As Pastoralism Or Cropping Systems) As Well As For Critical Infrastructure Such As Dams (For Water Supply, Irrigation And Hydro-Power).
