Expression Of Interest Are Invited For Laboratory Technical Officer-Operations And Logistics Deadline: 09-May-2022 23:59 (Gmt 8.00) Beijing, Perth, Singapore, Hong Kong On 31 December 2019, Who Was Informed Of Cases Of Pneumonia Of Unknown Cause Detected In Wuhan City, Hubei Province Of China. The Pathogen Was Subsequently Identified As A Sars Cov-2 And The Disease As Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) With Cases Detected Worldwide. On 31 January 2020, Who Declared The Event As A Public Health Emergency Of International Concern, And Covid-19 Was Subsequently Characterized As A Pandemic By The Who Director-General. As Cases Continue To Be Reported Globally As Well As Locally, Enhanced Preparedness And Response Efforts Are Required. The Covid-19 Response Operations In Papua New Guinea Are Expected To Continue For Several Months. The Purpose Of This Emergency Deployment Is To Support Effective Country Response Operations Related To The Covid-19 Pandemic, With A Technical Focus On Laboratory Operations And Logistics, As Part Of The Incident Management Team (Imt) Of The Who Country Office In Papua New Guinea. Purpose The Laboratory Technical Officer-Operations And Logistics (Ssa) Is Being Recruited To Provide Technical Assistance For Laboratory Activities To The Ongoing Covid-19 Response Under The Incident Management System (Imt) In Papua New Guinea. Duration Duration Of Contract: 8 Months Starting May 2022 Description Of Activities To Be Carried Out The Technical Officer (Ssa) In Health Emergency Laboratory Operations And Logistics Will Carry Out Specific Duties Related To The Laboratory For Covid-19 Response As Below: 1. To Support The Day-To-Day Operation Of Laboratory Related Activities Within Imst Through Prepare The Travel Plan, Tor And Travel Related Documents For Approval And Coordinate The Follow-Up/Arrangement With Admin/Hr For For All Lab Team Members And Relevant Counterparts Prepare The Operational Plan/Tracker For Lab Related Activities And Follow-Up To Ensure Completion And Regular Update Of Trackers, Implementation Plan To Compile And Keep The Tracker And Laboratory Repository Up To Date Within The Lab Repository, Imst Repository And Other Repository As Required To Work With The Information And Planning Team On Monitoring And Evaluation Related Tasks For Laboratory Team Including Implementation Plan, Pillar Update, Weekly Imst Lab Update, Technical And Field Reports As Well As Donor Reports Where Needed 2. To Support Lab Technical Officers And Operations And Logistics Team At Ndoh, Ncc And Cphl On Establishment And Sustaining Of Lab Supply Management System Through Support Lab Technical Officers And Operations And Logistics Pilar To Establish The Lab Supply Management Tool For Covid-19 Testing Either Msupply Or Other Tools Support Cphl To Establish Lab Supply Management System For Covid-19 Testing At Cphl And Roll Out To Provinces As Needed Support Cphl And All Covid-19 Laboratories To Implement Lab Supply Management System Support The Training And Mentoring On The Appropriate Use Of The Supply Management Tool Support With Lab Supply Tracking, Stock Taking And Pipeline Monitoring To Ensure Uninterrupted Supply For Covid-19 Laboratories 3. To Support With Meeting Minutes, Follow Up Actions And Operational Plans For Lab Pilar To Ensure Effective Documentation And Implementation 4. To Provide Coordination And Operation Support To The Lab Technical Officers Through Communicate With Relevant Pillars, Counterparts, Partners Develop/Follow Up With Proposal And Or Implementation Plan Arrange/Coordinate Lab Partners Coordination Meeting And Other Relevant Meetings Including Sending Out The Invite, Agenda, Facilitating During The Meeting, Minuting And Following Up With Follow Up Actions Work With Cphl, Partners And Provincial Labs For Covid-19 In Relation To Operational Support For Supply, Testing Report, Procurement, And Other Assigned Tasks 5. Support The Regular Update Of The Covid-19 Lab Testing Tracker And Covid-19 Testing Sites 6. Provide Operational Support For Covid-19 Laboratory Capacity Expansion And Capacity Building Projects 7. Work With Waste Management Team To Provide Operational Support On Laboratory Supply Management And Biosafety Including Mapping And Driving The Certification Of All Biological Safety Cabinet (Bsc) At All Covid-19 Laboratories 8. Support The Monitoring, Updating And Archiving Of All Key Laboratory Documents Include But Not Limit To Erp Plan, Measures, Testing Strategy, Guidance, Protocols, Sops 9. To Perform Any Other Tasks Assigned By Supervisors Technical Supervision The Contractual Party Will Work Under The Supervision Of: Responsible Officer: Dr Anup Gurung, A/ Whe Coordinator Manager: Dr Sevil Huseynova, Who Representative Qualifications & Experience Proven Skills And Experiences In Operations And Logistics Management For Covid-19 Laboratories. Sound Knowledge In Biosafety Standards, Quality Manuals, Lab Quality Management System Supply Management System. Education Essential: University Degree (BachelorS Level Or Above) In Medical Laboratory Or Laboratory Medicine Or Health Related From A Accredited/Recognized Institute. Certified Training Or Qualification In Molecular Biology, Bacteriology, Infectious Diseases, And/Or Epidemiology And Laboratory Techniques Will Be Added Value. Desirable: BachelorS Level Degree In Medical Laboratory Or Laboratory Medicine. Experience Required: At Least Five Years Of Practical And Operational Application Of Laboratory Diagnosis At The National Levels. Some Related Experience In Outbreaks And/Or Health Emergency Response Of International Impact Will Be An Added Value. Desired: Experience In Laboratory Molecular And Or Microbiology Diagnostics And Laboratory Quality Management System Including Supply Management Experience In Developing The Operational And Implementation Plan Experience In Working In Covid-19 Laboratory Will Be Added Value Previous Experience In Un Organizations/Agencies, Health Cluster Partners, Recognized Humanitarian Organizations, International Institutions, Or Nongovernmental Organizations.
