Who, As A Facilitator And An Convener Of These Support, Has Been Supporting And Closely Working With The Government And Partners To Ensure That National Counterparts Continue To Be Prepared And Proactively Respond To This Covid-19 Pandemic And Also Other Public Health Activities. Considering The Importance Of Ensuring Continued Solid Donor And Partners Relationship, It Is Critical For Who As A Mandate To Be Accountable And Transparent On The Use Of These Fund And Also Report To Donors And Partners In Regular Basis. This Position Is Expected To Facilitate And Conduct Such As Regular Donor Reporting, Strengthening Visibility Of Projects Including Information, Education, And Communication Materials, And Making Field Visits To Collect Field Stories, Which Will Contribute Enhance The Donor And Partners Relations This Position Will Also Provide Support On External Relations, In Order To Continue Building Rapport And Foster Partnerships With Donors And Partners, And Mobilize The Funding Required For An Efficient Response To Covid-19 And Beyond, In Lao Pdr. With This In View, Who Laos Pdr Is Recruiting A Consultant Under Below Terms Of Reference. Purpose/Specific Objective Of The Activity This Consultancy Will Support Who Lao PeopleS Democratic Republic (Lao Pdr) On Provision Of Effective Communication With Donors And Partners For Covid-19 And Beyond. Methods To Carry Out The Activity Under The Supervision And Management Of The Technical Officer Coordination And Communication For Health And Overall Guidance Of The Who Representative, And In Collaboration With Colleagues In The Western Pacific Regional Office, Particularly The Communications Manager In The Office Of The Regional Director For The Western Pacific (Wpr/Rdo), And External Relations Officer, The Consultant Will Be Responsible For Delivering The Following: Developing Rapport And Fostering Partnerships With Existing And Prospective Donors And Partners In Lao Pdr, As Well As Coordinating With Technical Units To Ensure Timely And Quality Reporting Are Submitted To Existing Donors/Partners. Prepare Human Interest Stories, Field Visits, And Support The Development Of Information Products And Visibility Materials. Liaise And Coordinate Communication Actions With Key Partners. This Will Involve Participating In The Un Communication Group In Lao Pdr And The Wpro Donor And External Relations Network. Qualifications & Experience Education Essential: First University Degree In Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Public Health, Political Science, International Relations, Or A Related Field. Experience Essential: Minimum Of Four Years Of Experience In Strategic Or Donors And External Relations Communications. The Consultant Should Have Experience Of Working Within The Un System Or With Un Partners. Direct Experience With Who Or Health Related Work Is Preferred. Technical Skills & Knowledge Knowledge And Skills In Risk Communication. Languages Written And Spoken Fluency In English Is Essential.
