Expression Of Interest Are Invited For Consulting Services For The Development Of Western Area Regional Structure Plan (Warsp). The Government Of Sierra Leone Has Received Funding From International Development Association (Ida) Of The Word Bank For Financing The Preparation Of The Resilient Urban Sierra Leone Project (Ruslp) And Intends To Apply Part Of The Proceeds Of The Funding For Eligible Payment Under The Contract For The: Consulting Services For The Development Of Western Area Regional Structure Plan (Warsp). 2.The Aim Of The Warsp Is To Provide A Spatial Vision For The Western Area, Guide Growth And Development Of The Region Especially Infrastructure Provision And The Development Of The Regional Urban Economy That Are Resilient And Sustainable As Proposed In The Spatial Development Strategy 2014. It Is Recognized That Since The Introduction Of The Town Country Planning Act (Tcpa) No Comprehensive Spatial Plan Has Been Developed And Most Plans Have Remained Unimplemented And Only Few Provisions Of Some Plans Were Carried Out Particularly In Freetown. The Focus Of The Warsp Will Be On Strategic Spatial, Social And Economic Integration Of Towns, Cities, Metropolitan Or Growth Centres Which Generate Linkages In Other Associated Sectors. Scope Of Work This Assignment Is To Develop A Warsp For The Western Area (Composed Of Freetown And Western Area Rural District) And Update The Freetown Structure Plan (Fsp) And The Western Area Rural District Structural Plan.
