Econsult: Solomon Islands High-Frequency Phone Surveys The World Bank Pacific Team Is Looking For A Survey Firm To Collect High Frequency Phone Survey Data Via Mobile Phones In The Solomon Islands To Monitor The Socio-Economic Effects Of The Rapidly Evolving Covid-19 Pandemic And To Support An Evidence-Based Response To The Crisis. The Covid-19 Pandemic Has Fundamentally Changed Our Livelihoods, Economies And Impacted Welfare And Wellbeing Around The Globe. In The Solomon Islands, The Socio-Economic Impacts Of Health Emergency Lockdown Measures Are Compounded Further By Weak Institutions And Unequal Access To Services For Vulnerable Populations. The Solomon Islands Is Also One Of The Most Data-Poor Countries In The Pacific Region, Severely Limiting The Information Available To Inform Response Efforts. Phone Surveys Have Emerged As A Key Tool In Combating These Critical Data Gaps. They Do Not Require Face-To-Face Interactions And Are Therefore Highly Suited For Data Collection During Emergencies, As Well As Under The Social Distancing Measures That Are Currently In Place.
