Tenders Are Invited For Inspection and Condition Report For RoRo Berths #2, #3 and associated Mooring Spine, Port of Ramsgate.

Thanet District Council wishes to select and appoint a suitable supplier for the provision of a condition report, following inspection of RoRo Berths #2, #3 and their associated Mooring Spine and invites prospective suppliers to submit a quotation to meet the Employer’s requirements. RoRo berths #2 (a single deck floating pontoon) and #3 (a double deck floating pontoon) are separated by a mooring spine which services both berths. Berth #2 is presently in service, however berth #3 is presently not in use. It is intended that the output from the condition report will be utilised to inform a scope of works to keep #2 berth in regular service and to return #3 to a serviceable condition. The Contract is anticipated to commence upon 1 April 2022, or sooner if practicable, for a duration of 6 weeks. Important Information: All procurement documents are attached to this notice and available for suppliers to download and complete according to instructions contained. The procurement process will be undertaken on the basis of formal quotations. Evaluation will be on the basis of criteria and methodology as set out in the Invitation to Quote document. Any clarifications or questions must be submitted via the Message area of the Kent Business Portal by no later than 14.00hrs on 16 February 2022. Completed quotation documents must be submitted electronically via the Kent Business Portal by no later than 14.00hrs on 24 February 2022.
