The Ultimate Objective Of This Consultancy Is To Inform The Design And Implementation Of Large-Scale Investment In Mini Grids In Niger As Part Of The Government Of Nigers Ambitious National Electrification Strategy. To Achieve This Objective, The Consultancy Will Provide Technical Analyses Leading To An Assessment Of The Market Readiness In Niger For Private Sector Participation In Portfolios (I.E. Clusters) Of New Solar Hybrid Mini Grids That Leverage The Latest Technologies And Commercial Strategies, In Order To Serve Households, Micro- And Small Enterprises, Commercial And Industrial Customers, Productive Use Activities (E.G., Water Pumping And Local Markets), And Public Sector Buildings (E.G., Health Facilities And Schools). The Consultancy Will Also Suggest Strategies To Mainstream Gender Considerations Into The Design And Implementation Of Investments In Mini Grids. Lastly, The Consultancy Will Provide Critical Capacity Building Support To Key Stakeholders (Government And Private Sector) Through Virtual And In-Person Workshops Throughout The Assignment.
