Energy Security Project (Additional Financing) - Cs6 Supplemental Management Operations For Marshalls Energy Company Mec Needs Assistance With The Transition And Implementation Of The Recommendations Made By The Adb’ S Ta Consultants Under Ta 9425. The Plan Was Endorsed By The Combined Utilities Board In 2019. Some Of The Priority Steps In The Action Plan Have Been Initiated By Mec Using Ongoing Development Partner Assistance And Own Funding Sources. In Addition, The Government Of The Marshall Islands Has Also Developed Their Roadmap For Renewable Energy That Is Linked To Nationally Determined Contribution (Ndc) Commitments. There Are Different Approaches Proposed For The Capital City Of Majuro, Islands Such As Ebeye And The Outer Islands. Mec Would Need Support For Developing And Detailing The Transition Plan For Majuro. Mec Proposes To Recruit And Retain A Multi-Disciplinary Team Of Supplemental Management And Operations (Smo) Contractor For A Period Of 3 Or More Years To Support On The Above. The Consultant Team Is Expected To Provide Practical Management, Technical And Operational Assistance, And Support Mec On The Following Eight Tasks That Are Aligned With Recommended Action Plans And Other Activities Necessary To Support Improve Business Growth, Productivity And Sustainability Of Mec As Well As The Transition To The Future. The Key Responsibilities Of Smo Team Are Cross-Cutting And Referenced To The Recommended Action Plans Through Their Respective Action Plan Number (I.E., Cg-1, T-1 Etc.). In Addition To Assisting With Implementation Of Action Plans, Smo Team Will Help Mec Improve Day-To-Day Business Operations In Line With Prudent And Current Industry Practices.
