Expression of Interest are invited for Advisor Information Systems and Digital Health. Deadline: 20-Jan-2022 23:59 (GMT 12.00) Auckland, Wellington, Fiji, Kamchatka DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES TO BE CARRIED OUT Under the direct supervision of the Health Systems and Policy Team Leader, the contractor is responsible for, but not necessarily limited to, the following assigned duties: Provide technical, strategic and programmatic advice and guidance for the strengthening of information systems and improved digital capabilities among national health systems, to support countries and areas in decision and policy making in health; Strengthen national capacities on information systems and digital health by providing technical cooperation and support to Country Offices and Ministries of Health; Provide technical support in ICD10 coding and vital and health statistics to national authorities and technical programs, with emphasis on the use of new technologies for improving data management, analysis and forecasting; Support technical cooperation programs and strategies to strengthen national capacities in the Region for the design, adoption, implementation, and evaluation of information systems for health using information and communication technologies; Provide technical advice for the implementation of the Organization’s regional and sub-regional strategies on digital health and information systems; Provide technical advice in the context of the eHealth Action Plan; support and provide advice on project development and program activities required for the development and implementation of regional, national, and subnational health information system-related projects; Collaborate in the development and reinforcing of alliances and networks (such as Pacific Health Information Network) that contribute to the strengthening of health information systems and digital health Provide advice and implementation support for COVID-19 response activities as part of Incident Management Team (immunization program, health service delivery such as telehealth, outbreak management and surveillance etc.) Participate in the preparation and implementation of the Unit’s Biennial Work Plan (BWP), budget and technical evaluation and donor reports
