Expression of Interest for Econsult: Environmental Support For Offshore Wind Development

Econsult: Environmental Support For Offshore Wind Development The World Bank Groups (Wbg) Offshore Wind Development Program (The Program) Is Funded And Led By The Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (Esmap) In Close Partnership With The International Finance Corporation (Ifc - The Private Sector Arm Of The Wbg). The Programs Objective Is To Support The Inclusion Of Offshore Wind Into The Energy Sector Policies And Strategies Of Wbg Client Countries And The Technical Assistance Work Needed To Build A Pipeline Of Bankable Projects. The Programs Objective Will Be Achieved Through A Combination Of Knowledge Generation And Exchange, In-Country Strategic And Advisory Studies, And Supporting Client Governments In Project Preparation Activities. The Program Includes Globally Managed Deliverables And Support, Combined With In-Country Advisory Services & Analytics Projects (Funded By Esmap), And Will Look To Raise Additional Funding For Client-Executed Project Preparation Activities Such As Detailed Feasibility Studies, Environmental And Social (E&S) Risk Mapping And The Design Of Competitive Bidding Rounds. The Program Is Currently Supporting Three Categories Of Activities: 1. Global Knowledge Generation, Dissemination And Exchange; 2. Country Studies And Technical Assistance To Support Policy And Regulatory Development; 3. Technical Preparatory Studies, In Support Of Future Tenders For Offshore Wind, Carried Out By Client Country Governments.
