Expression Of Interest Are Invited For Monitoring, Evaluation And Survey (Mes) Officer The Development Objective Of Pacd Is To Facilitate The Development Of Competitive And Diversified Agriculture Value Chains For Selected Commodities (Coffee, Cocoa, Coconut, Spices And Small Livestock) In The Targeted Provinces. The Project Will Be Implemented By The Department Of Agriculture And Livestock (Dal) Through A Project Coordination Unit (Pcu), The Cocoa Board (Cb) And The Coffee Industry Corporation (Cic) Of Png. The Consulting Services (The Services) Include A Full-Time Goroka-Based Monitoring, Evaluation And Survey (Mes) Officer With The Coffee Industry Corporation Project Management Unit (Coffee Pmu). The Successful Consultant Will Be Responsible For Facilitating Surveys And Data Collection Including The Management Of The Mis, With Frequent Travel To Port Moresby As Necessary. The Expected Duration Of The Consulting Assignment Is 2 Years, With 6 Month Probation Period Starting Q1 2022 And Possibility Of Further Extension Up To The Project Closing Date, Subject To Satisfactory Performance, An Ongoing Need, And Availability Of Funding. The Criteria For Selecting The Consultant Are: Essential: A Post-Graduate-Level Degree In Agriculture, Rural Development, Economics, Or A Related Field; At Least 5 Years Work Experience In The Broader Area Of Social And Economic Development; Experience In The Preparation Of Regular Project Reports (Reporting To Donor Agencies Would Be A Plus); Experience In Conducting Research Surveys And/Or Other Structured Research Methodologies And In Supervising Survey Teams; Experience Working In An International Project Team, With Counterparts Located In Other Countries; Ability To Work Well In Teams, Collaborating And Working Independently, As Needed; Ability To Communicate Effectively In English, Orally And In Writing, With A Broad Range Of Stakeholders From Grassroots Level To International Level Organizations; Desirable: Previous Experience Working With Electronic Databases; Previous Experience Working With Tablet Enabled Data Collection Including Related Software And Services Software Packages Or Similar For Collecting, Managing And Using Data In Remote And Resource-Constrained Environments; Previous Experience With Project(S) Funded By The World Bank, Adb Or Other Development Partners; Good Knowledge Of Png Rural Areas; Tok Pisin Would Be Preferred.
