Liberia Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (Sapz) Project The Project Is Structured To Be Implemented By Three Main Components As Follows: Component 1: Strengthen Institutional Capacity And Enabling Infrastructure For Agro Industrialization: This Component Of The Project Is To Support The Establishment And The Operationalization Of The Liberia Special Economic Zone Authority (Seza). The Main Activities Will Include Various Technical Assistance To Support Institutional Set Up Of Seza, Policy Studies And Reforms On Regulatory Standards, It Based Business Registration Processes And Tenant Licensing Systems, Standard Operating Procedures, Scheme Of Incentives, Single Window Trade Facility, Model Mous And So On. The Branding, Market Sounding And Investment Promotion Of The Sapz Will Also Be Undertaken In Addition To Providing Basic Enabling External Infrastructure For Agro Industrialization. Component 2: Capacity Building Agricultural Value Chain And Skills Development And Farmer Coordination: This Component Aims To Develop The Set Skills And Capacity To Support The Operation Of The Sapz, It Will Involve Value Chain/Market Studies (Competitiveness Assessment) Of Selected Agricultural Commodities, Capacity Building, Including Good Agricultural Practices For Commodity Outgrowers, Farmer Groups, And Cooperatives, Business Development Support (Bds) And Training For Msme’S & Young Entrepreneurs As Well As Assessment And Development Of Quality And Relevant Skills For Agro Industrialization. This Component Will Also Undertake Assessment Of Sites And Construction Of Pilot Agricultural Transformation Center And Aggregation Center For The Sapz. Component 3. Project Coordination And Management This Entails The Management Of The Day-To-Day Operations Of The Project And Its General Co-Ordination By The National Investment Commission (Nic) Of Liberia.
