Cameroon And Chad Electrical Network Interconnection Project (Pirect) The Project Is Part Of The Strategy For Enhancing The Energy Potential Of The Member States Of The Economic Community Of Central African States (Eccas). To This End, The Regional Ambition For The Electricity Sector Is To Increase The Rate Of Access To Electricity In The Two Countries And To Contribute Generally To Improving The Living Conditions Of The Populations. And The Fight Against Poverty. Specifically, The Project Aims To Achieve The Following Strategic Objectives: § Strengthen Sub-Regional Cooperation And Integration; § Ensure Universal Access To Electricity By 2035; § Obtain An Average Price Per Kwh Of Between 30 And 40 Fcfa In 2025 (Greater Than 100 Fcfa In 2008); § Ensure A Valuation Of 54% Of The Hydroelectric Potential (Against Less Than 3% In 2008) And Of At Least 5% Of The Gas Potential For The Production Of Electricity (Less Than 1% In 2008); § Optimize The Use Of Energy Resources In Order To Stimulate The Achievement Of The Respective National Development Strategies Of The Two Countries. The Project Has The Following Components: A. Works Component A.1 Works On Hv Lines And Substations (Lines: 795 Km - 7 225 Kv Substations) · O § In Cameroon § The Extension Of The 225 Kv Substation At Wouro Soua (The Latter Will Be Built As Part Of The Ris-Rin Interconnection Project) With The Construction Of Two 225 Kv Line Spans And The Installation Of A Statcom; § The Creation Of A New 225 Kv Substation At Garoua In Artery Cut-Off On The 225 Kv Double Circuit Garoua-Maroua Line (Under Construction As Part Of The Bird Project); § The Extension Of The 225 Kv Substation In Maroua (The Latter Will Be Built As Part Of The Bird Project) With The Construction Of Two 225 Kv Line Spans And The Installation Of A Statcom; § The Creation Of A New 225/30 Kv 36 Mva Substation At Kousséri; § The Construction Of A 225 Kv Double Circuit Single Beam Line Of 250 Km Between Ngaoundéré (Wouro Soua) And The New Garoua Substation; § The Construction Of A 191.9 Km 225 Kv Single Circuit Single Beam Line Between Maroua And Kousséri; § The Construction Of A 100 Km 225 Kv Single Circuit Single Beam Line Between Maroua And The Future 225/90/30 Kv Substation At Yagoua; § The Construction Of Mv And Lv Lines And Stations For The Electrification Of Villages Along The Corridor Of Transmission Lines. § In Chad § The Creation Of A New 225/90/30 Kv Substation At Bongor; § The Creation Of A New 225/30 Kv Kv Substation At Guelendeng; § The Creation Of A New 225/90 Kv Substation In Gassi (Ndjamena) And Its Connection To The Existing 90 Kv Substation Through A 90 Kv Underground Cable Of 200M; § Extension Of The 90 Kv Gassi Substation (Ndjamena); § The Construction Of A 74.6 Km 225 Kv Single Circuit Single Beam Line Between Bongor And Guelendeng; § The Construction Of A 142.8 Km 225 Kv Single Circuit Single Beam Line Between Guelendeng And Gassi. § Common To Both Countries § The Construction Of A 225 Kv Single Circuit Single Beam Line Of 15.2 Km Between Kousséri And Gassi In Chad (1.7 Km In Cameroon, 13.5 Km In Chad); § The Construction Of A 20 Km 225 Kv Single Circuit Single Beam Line Between Yagoua And Bongor (13.8 Km In Cameroon And 7.2 Km In Chad). A.2 Rural Electrification Works For The Electrification Of 478 Localities Along The Interconnection Lines · O § Construction Of 2,078.7 Kilometers Of Mv Line Including 1,609.7 In Cameroon And 469 In Chad; § Construction Of Around 426 Hta Stations (Hta / Hta And Hta / Bt) Including 368 In Cameroon And 58 In Chad. Project Management Component This Component Includes (I) Studies, (Ii) Project Supervision And Monitoring, (Iii) Technical, Financial, Environmental And Social Audits, (Iv) Acquisition Of Material Resources And Coverage Of Operating Costs Of Pmu, (V) The Implementation Of Environmental And Social Management Plans As Well As Resettlement Action Plans, (Vi) Institutional Support To The Peac And In The Two Countries, To The Main Players In The Energy Sector And Certain Related Sectors, (Vii) Support For The Socio-Economic Empowerment Of Young People And Women.
