This Is A Combined Synopsis Solicitation For Commercial Items Prepared In Accordance With The Format In Far Subpart 12 6 As Supplemented With Additional Information Included In This Notice This Contamination During The Performance Of Work Upon Completion Of Work Remove Protective Material And Inspect For The Presence Of Contamination Clean All Equipment And Spaces Contaminated Due To Improper Protection To Original Condition Of Cleanliness 3 1 4 Interferences The Contractor Shall Handle All Interferences In Accordance With Sflc Std Spec 0000 Paragraph 3 3 5 Interferences Known Interferences Include But Are Not Limited To The Below Listed Piping And Hoses Sea Water 3 1 5 The Contractor Shall Be Responsible For Collection Removal And Disposal Of All Residual Water In Piping Systems Associated With Overhaul Of Strainers In Accordance With All Applicable Federal State And Local Regulation 3 2 Requirements The Contractor Shall Conduct An Internal Examination Of The Seawater Strainer As Described In 46 Cfr 61 20 5 B To Ensure That The Strainers Are Able To Continue In Service As Shown In Coast Guard Drawings 750 Wmsl 191 1 750 Wmsl 520 1 750 Wmsl 520 22 750 Wmsl 520 23 And 750 Wmsl 520 3 Inspect And Test The Designated Strainers Listed On Table 1 In Accordance With Manufacturer S Recommendations And Tp 7120 3 3 Duplex Sea Water Strainer Repair The Contractor Shall Perform The Following Work On The Duplex Seawater Strainer Listed In Table 1 3 3 1 Open Each Side Of The Sea Water Strainer Clean And Inspect The Strainer Basket Housing And The Strainer Basket Dispose Of Any Shells Or Debris In The Strainer Baskets 3 3 2 Visually Inspect Each Side Of The Strainer Housing And The Strainer Baskets In The Presence Of The Coast Guard Inspector Submit A Cir 3 3 3 Reassemble Each Strainer Housing Renew All Gaskets With Material Conforming To Astm D1330 Of The Same Size And Configuration As Those Gaskets Removed 3 3 4 Plug Valve Repair Disassemble And Remove The Plug Valve Assembly With Strainer Remaining In Place Clean And Inspect The Plug Valve Note Any Indications Of Scoring Or Damage Submit Cfr 3 3 4 1 Lap The Plug Valve To The Valve Seat 3 3 4 2 Using Prussian Blue Compound Demonstrate An 80 Contact Between The Plug Valve And The Seat To The Coast Guard Inspector 3 3 4 3 Reassemble The Plug Valve Assembly Use New Gaskets And O Rings Not Provide As Gfe Install New Packing In The Valve Stem Lubricate The Plug Valves During Reassembly With Grease Conforming To Ams G 6032 3 3 4 4 Demonstrate Proper Operation Of The Strainer To The Coast Guard Inspector 3 4 Dock Trials During Dock Trials The Contractor Shall Open Each Side Of Each Strainer Basket And Demonstrate To The Coast Guard Inspector The Ability To Change Each Strainer Basket With Minimal Leakage Of Water Out Of The Strainer Basket Housings Submit Cfr Note Minimum Leakage Is Defined As Water Leaking Past The Plug Valve Does Not Interfere With Being Able To Clean The Strainer Baskets In The Off Line Side Of The Sea Strainer 3 5 Touch Up Preservation The Contractor Shall Prepare And Coat All New And Disturbed Surfaces To Match Existing Adjacent Surfaces In Accordance With Sflc Std Spec 6310 Paragraph 3 1 13 Touch Ups And Minor Coating Repairs Caution Don T Paint Packing Glands Valve Stems Threads And Similar Working Surfaces 4 Notes 4 1 Definition The
