Contract notice Health ServicesClinical Assesment Service CAS for Southampton City CCGDescription Southampton City Clinical Commissioning Group SCCCG is procuring a local clinical assessment service CAS that will offer primarily telephone based assessments of patients with urgent healthcare needs As a key element with the integrated urgent care IUC system in Southampton and the wider geography the CAS will be expected to be able to triage telephone calls forwarded from NHS 111 re triage dispositions for category 3 and 4 ambulances and assess non emergency calls initially disposed to the Emergency Department in timely manners The successful provider will demonstrate their key role within the both the IUC system and local primary care landscape maximising use of local resources and clinicians within the city to improve outcomes for patients and reducing the use of other urgent care settings in a clinically appropriate manner The provider of the CAS will need to be able to show willingness and ability to work in innovative ways supporting the commissioners and clinicians to improve the health and outcomes of the population
