Request for Expression of Interest for Advisory Services to State Committee on Tourism Development on Developing Comprehensive StrategyIn particular a summary of the objectives and activities under this assignment are as follows Develop integrated strategies concepts action plans and prioritized investment programs for the development of new sustainable tourism destinations inclusive of promotion branding marketing strategies action plans and related M E systems to enhance economic outcomes for the local economies of Fergana Valley Tourism Circuit with the objective to create a new and competitive tourism product using the circuit approach Bukhara Region with the objective to diversify tourism offering and deconcentrate tourism flows from the core UNESCO heritage to the surrounding regionsSurkhandarya and Kashkadarya Regions with the objective of creating new sustainable destinations in support of local economy Supplement the ongoing and planned marketing and promotion efforts of the State Committee of Tourism Development through online means by assessing and improving the tourist portal www uzbekistan travel and official website www uzbektourism uz including recommendations on updated marketing and branding strategy and dedicated promotional webpages and other material for both the Fergana Valley Circuit and Bukhara Surkhandarya and Kashkadarya regions Advise on the design of a regional level tourism M E system that would like and feed into the national M E system with the objectives on one side to monitor and manage regional level tourism trends and on the other to benchmark regions and their municipalities of Uzbekistan travel and tourism industry vis vis comparable regions and municipalities of other countries Deliver this activity in full coordination with the State Committee of Tourism Development of Uzbekistan as an opportunity for long term capacity building The tentative duration of the assignment is 12 months The estimated level of effort for these Consulting Services is estimated to be in the range of USD 0 8 million The Project Implementation Unit under Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan as the Implementing Agency now invites eligible consulting firms Consultants to indicate their interest in providing the Services Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services Expression of interest should cover but not limited to corporate profile years in business experience relevant to the project activities key staff resources and core business Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a subconsultancy to enhance their qualifications In case of a Joint Venture JV all members of the JV will be evaluated jointly for the purpose of short listing and shall be jointly and severally liable for the assignment and shall sign the contract in case of award is made to that JV group Interested consultants should clearly indicate the structure of their association and the duties of the partners and sub consultants in their application Unclear expression of interests in terms of in association with and or in affiliation with and etc may not be considered for short listing Keeping one expression of interest per firm as principle a consultant firm may decide whether it wishes to participate as a sub consultant or as an individual consultant or as a partner in a joint venture Please note that a firm shall submit only one EOI in the same selection process either individually as a consultant or as a partner in a joint venture No firm can be a sub consultant while submitting an EOI individually or as a partner of a joint venture in the same selection process A firm if acting in the capacity of sub consultant in any consultant or JV may participate in more than one consultant but only in the capacity of a sub consultant The experience of sub consultant will not be considered while short listing
