Consultancy Services Support For The Palestine Monetary Authoritys Regulatory Monitoring FunctionThe Palestinian Monetary Authority Pma Is An Independent Public Institution Responsible For Formulating And Implementing The Monetary And Banking Policies Safeguarding The Banking Sector And Ensuring The Growth Of The National Economy The Pma Performs Several Central Banking Duties Such As Supervision Over The 14 Operating Banks Microfinance Institutions Money Changers Payment Services Companies And Spreading Financial Awareness The Objective Of The Project Is To Enhance The Pma S Effective And Timely Regulatory Monitoring Through Implementation Of Its Regulatory Requirements It Is Expected To Strengthen The Pma S Capacity To Supervise And Regulate Banks And Other Supervised Entities And Ultimately Boost The Resilience And Functioning Of The Financial System In The West Bank This Projects Objective Will Be Achieved By Replacing The Various Legacy Systems With A Single One Which In Line With International Best Practice Ultimately The Assignment Shall Increase Pma S Institutional Level Capacity Introduce New Or Updated Information Systems And Deliver Appropriate Training Ebrd Intends To Select And Contract A Consulting Company The Consultant To Deliver A Services In Two Phases 1 Phase 1 Provide Support To Pma In The Selection Of Suptech Solution System 2 Phase 2 To Support Pma In The Implementation And Testing Of The New Suptech Solution System
