East Point GA is soliciting electronic proposals from experienced legal professionals or firms who are interested in entering into a contract with the City of East Point to serve as the Legal Counsel for the East Point Downtown Development Authority The City Authority needs to retain Legal Counsel to assist in legal matters and with the financing of projects dealing with bond issuances therefore it is the intent of the City the Authority to award a Contract to the best qualified Responder The chosen Responder must be able to demonstrate experience in Development Authority Law and in bond issuances tailored to the Authority s needs and in the structuring of any potential debt financial transactions For specifics regarding the legal services required and desired by the City and the Downtown Development Authority and the City s and Authority s anticipations and expectations from the Selected Provider consult the solicitation documents The awarded Contract shall be awarded for an initial term consisting of all of FY2021 and all of FY2022 In addition there will be one 1 optional contract term consisting of FY2023 and FY2024 that may be exercised separately upon the agreement of all concerned parties The City requires all Providers interested in conducting business with the City to register in the City s web based Ionwave Technologies system Electronic responses may be uploaded into the system for award consideration until 3 00 PM on Friday July 3 2020
