Sacree Renewable Energy ExpertAfr Ri Sapp Program For Accelerating Regional Energy Transformational ProjectsThe World Bank Is Preparing A Program With The Southern Africa Power Pool Sapp To Help Accelerate Preparation Of Priority Regional Power Generation And Transmission Projects In The Region Of The Southern African Power Pool The Program Development Objective Is To Facilitate The Preparation Of Priority Regional Energy Projects In The Southern African Power Pool Region As Part Of This Initiative The Sadc Centre For Renewable Energy And Energy Efficiency Sacreee Secretariat Through Sapp Intends To Procure The Services Of The Renewable Energy Expert For A Period Of 12 Months Who Will Be Based At Sacreee Secretariat In Windhoek Namibia Scope Of WorkUnder The Supervision Of The Executive Director Of Sacreee The Renewable Energy Expert Shall Initiate Co Ordinate And Undertake Activities As Outlined Below For The Renewable Energy Re Sector Within The Framework Of Arep Coordinate Capacity Building Including Content Design Content Preparation And Facilitation Of Key Stakeholders In Member States Such As Ministries Responsible For Energy Electric Utilities Regulators Private Sector Ngos Through Webinars Workshops And Trainings On Topics Including Integrated Resource Planning Grid Integration Of Re Re Potential Best Practice Approaches To Planning Strategy Procurement And Implementation Of Re Investments E G Sustainable Renewables Risk Mitigation Initiative Coordinate Development Of Gender Mainstreaming Interventions In Re And Ee In The Region Develop Re Programs And Assignments In Line With The Sacreee Workplan Under Arep Support Stakeholders In Member States Such As Ministries Responsible For Energy Electric Utilities Regulators With Developing Terms Of Reference For Consulting Services Or Technical Analysis To Support Re Roadmaps To Re Investments Support The Development And Harmonization Of Regional Policies Strategies And Quality Assurance Frameworks In The Region Coordinate Workstreams On Re And Energy Storage Including Resource Assessments Grid Integration Studies And Project Development Coordinate The Development And Harmonisation Of Standards Of Re Equipment Coordinate With Development Partners In The Region To Avoid Overlap Identify Complementary Activities And Mobilize Resources Grants And Or Buy Downs Review And Recommend Re Projects Presented To Sacreee To The Executive Director And Provide Technical Backstopping Services To Projects Funded By Sacreee And Partners Throughout The Project Cycle Provide Technical Inputs To The Annual Work Plans And Status Reports Of Sacreee And Actively Participate In Re Discussions In The Region Through Compiling Policy Briefs On Request And Publishing Books And Opinion Articles In Renowned Journals
