General Procurement Notice For Africa Disaster Risk Financing ProgrammeThe Specific Objectives Of The Programme Includes I Strengthening The Country S Capacity To Evaluate Climate Related Risks And Costs And Elaborate Subsequent Adaptation Measures At Both National And Sub National Levels And Ii Promoting Initial Financing For Disaster Risk Transfer Solutions The Project Will Be Implemented Within A Period Of Five 05 Years 2019 2023 The Project Activities Shall Be Implemented Through The Following Components Component 1 Developing Climate Risk Management Solutions The Component Will Provide Support Towards Capacity Building For Technical Staff And Policy Makers On Disaster Risk Management Supporting The Country To Define Risk Profiles And Develop Contingency Plans For Responding To Drought Shocks And Integrating Early Warning Tools Component 2 Supporting Access To Sovereign Disaster Risk Transfer Solutions This Component Will Strengthen The Capacity Of The Country In Disaster Risk Management Activities Through Sovereign Disaster Risk Insurance And The Sustainable Payment Of Its Insurance Risk Premiums Component 3 Programme Management And Coordination The Activities Under This Component Will Include The Overall Coordination Of The Programme Including Monitoring And Evaluation As Well As Reporting
