Tenders Are Invited For Econsult Technology Adoption Firm SurveyThe World Bank Wb Intends To Carry Out A Firm Level Survey In Select Manufacturing Sectors In India As Part Of A Global World Bank Study On Technology Adoption In Firms The Goal Of This Survey Is To Gather Information About Technologies Adopted By Firms In India The Information Gathered Here Will Help The World Bank To Develop New Policies And Programs That Enhance Employment Economic Growth And Shared Prosperity The Survey Will Collect Information On Technology Adoption Through A Structured Questionnaire In Face To Face Interviews The Questionnaire Includes Questions On General Firm Characteristics Performance And Balance Sheet Adoption Of General Purpose Technologies Such As Ict And Software For General Business Functions Like Hr Financial Management And Production Planning Adoption Of Industry Specific Technology Such As Automated Machines For Specific Production Functions And Barriers To Technology Adoption Parts Of The Questionnaire Are Similar To The The World Bank Enterprise Surveys Questionnaire The Survey Is Expected To Take One Hour To Administer Per Respondent Firm The Survey Is Planned To Be Implemented In Select Sectors The Preliminary Choice Of Sectors To Be Confirmed Is Garments Food Processing Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Auto Auto Parts Retail And Commercial Farming The Survey Is Planned To Be Implement In 2 Or 3 States The Preliminary Choice Of States To Be Confirmed Is Maharashtra And Tamil Nadu The Survey Will Cover Establishments With 5 Or More Employees The Total Sample Size Is Expected To Be 1200 Firms
