Tenders Are Invited For E Consultant Validation Of The Sri Lanka Renewable Energy Sectoral Crediting ProgramCpf Is Now Initiating The Independent Validation Of The Program In Sri Lanka Using The Sectoral Crediting Program Methodology And The Validation Protocol Template Developed By The Cpf And Seeking The Expression Of Interest From Interested And Qualified Firms The Objectives Of The Validation By An Independent Entity Is To A Establish The Credibility And Robustness Of The Crediting Approach Developed For Quantification Of Emission Reductions B Confirm That The Emission Reductions From The Program Are Real Additional And Quantifiable While Ensuring That There Is No Double Counting And C Enhance The Overall Efficiency And Integrity Of The Pilot Activity By Validating The Mrv Of The Program The Independent Entity Shall Have Significant Knowledge And Expertise In Conducting Validation Of Activities In The Energy Sector And Potentially Accredited To Perform Such Tasks Under Any Relevant National And Or International Accredited Bodies The Entity Shall Have Auditing Knowledge And Skills The Entity Is Also Highly Knowledgeable On The International Climate Mitigation Policy To Perform The Task They Must Demonstrate Familiarity And Deep Understanding Of Latest Developments In International Climate Change Policy Including But Not Limited To Matters Related To The Unfccc Negotiation Process And Work Program Related To Mitigation Proven Ability To Validate Appropriate Mrv Methodologies Application Of Appropriate Principles On Environmental Integrity Mrv And Their Application To The Program Sound Knowledge On Different Electricity Sector Planning Tools Models And Methods And Familiarity Of Operation Of Electrical Systems In Different Settings Ability To Understand Country Specific Sector Policies Their Application To The Program And Analyze Their Impacts On Different Methodological Elements Such As Environmental Integrity Mrv Etc And Excellent Capacity To Develop Written Reports
