General Procurement Notice For Sary Arka Project Phase I Government For The Construction Of The Sary Arka Gas Pipeline Phase I Which Will Transport Natural Gas From The West Of Kazakhstan To The Currently Non Gasified Central And Northern Regions Of The Country Project The Proposed Major Pipeline Will Originate At Karaozek Gas Compression Point As A Northbound Offshoot From The Existing Beineu Bozoi Shymkent Main Pipeline In The Kyzylorda Oblast It Is Envisaged To Have The Following Basic Parameters Applicable To Phase I Length 1 081 Km Diameter 820 Mm Working Pressure Pn 9 81 MpaOnce Commissioned The Pipeline Is Expected To Transport Initially Around 1 Billion Cubic Metres Per Annum Bcma Of Natural Gas To The Central And Northern Kazakhstan For Domestic Consumption As The Pipeline Will Traverse The Territories Of Kyzylorda Karaganda And Akmola Oblasts Regional Complementary Gas Distribution Networks Are To Be Designed And Built Although They Are Not Part Of This Project The Total Estimated Cost Of Phase I Is Up To Kzt 300 Billion Usd 915 Million Equivalent Of Which Ebrd May Finance Approximately One Third Of The Amount The Project Will Require The Procurement Of The Following Goods Works And Services For Supply And Installation Of Modern Pipeline Systems Including All Auxiliary Systems Consulting Services To Support The Client Project Implementation Unit Piu The Procurement Is Expected To Be Initiated During 3D Quarter 2018 Contracts To Be Financed With The Proceeds Of A Loan From The Bank Will Be Subject To The Banks Procurement Policies And Rules And Will Be Open To Firms From Any Country The Proceeds Of The Banks Loan Will Not Be Used For The Purpose Of Any Payment To Persons Or Entities For Any Import Of Goods If Such Payment Or Import Is Prohibited By A Decision Of The United Nations Security Council Taken Under Chapter Vii Of The Charter Of The United Nations Or Under A Law Of Official Regulation Of The Purchasers Country
