This Service Has The Purpose Of Responding To Institutional Patients Beneficiaries Of The Public Health System Who Require This Examination To Be Performed For Their Diagnosis, Evaluation Of Response To Treatment And Monitoring Of Diseases. This Examination In Oncology Patients Is Essential, Since It Allows Cancer To Be Detected In Early Stages, Which Makes It Possible To Start Treatments In A Timely Manner, To Identify Metastases And To Monitor The Response To Treatments. Not Performing This Examination Makes It Difficult To Detect Small Or Metastatic Tumors, Which Would Lead To A Late Diagnosis Or Spread Of The Disease.
