Since 2006, The Districts Of Rotenburg (Wümme), Harburg And Heidekreis Have Been Working Together In Emergency Services And Fire Protection In The Form Of A Virtual Control Center Network In Order To Improve Service Levels And Reliability. In October 2024, The Three Districts, Together With The Lüneburg District, Decided To Establish A Joint Integrated Control Center For Emergency Services And Fire Protection As A Municipal Institution Under Public Law (Integrated Regional Control Center Lüneburger Heide Aör). It Became Legally Binding Through The Joint Statutes On February 18, 2025. After Its Founding, The Aörs Initial Task Is To Plan, Build And Make A New Joint Control Center Operational. External Project Management Should Be Commissioned For This Project.
