The Regional District Is Seeking Proposals From Qualified Consultants To Complete A Water Supply Analysis, Survey And Capacity Assessment Of Two (2) Key Surface Water Reservoirs, Mcneil And Harris Lake. This Project Will Support Infrastructure Planning And Water Resource Management, As Well As Identify Operating Procedures And Improvements To Minimize Dead Storage, As Part Of Ongoing Efforts To Improve System Resilience And Optimize Storage Capacity. The Regional Districts Approximate Budget For The Work Is $85,000. This Project Is Driven By The Water Supply Shortages Experienced In The South Pender Water System During The Summer Of 2022. The Primary Objective Is To Identify And Evaluate Options To Improve Operational Reliability And Optimize The Management Of Lake Storage Volumes In The Mcneil And Harris Lake Systems To Help Mitigate Against Future Shortages.
