Organization Of Architectural Design Contests – Architecture Invitation Competition: Central Campus Of Häme University Of Applied Sciences. Hämeen University Of Applied Sciences (Hamk) Is Organizing An Architecture Invitational Competition For The Design Of Hämeenlinnas New Central Campus In Hämeensaari In Cooperation With The City Of Hämeenlinna And The Finnish Architects Association Safa. The Task Of The Competition Is To Design An Architecturally High-Level And Functional New Downtown Campus Complex That Serves Hamk And The Residents Of Hämeenlinna. The Amount Of New Construction After The First Phase Of The Project Is Fully Implemented Is Estimated At 12,000 Hym². The Competition Examines The Connection Of The Campus Building And Its Courtyard Solution To The Urban Structure, The Shore Of Vanajavesi, Public Outdoor Spaces, The Transport Network And The Surrounding City Center. In The Project, An Impetus Is Sought For The Start Of The Development Of The Area, Taking Into Account The Connection To The Center Of Hämeenlinna. A Service Procurement Contract Can Be Concluded With The Winner Of The Design Competition For The Development Of The Projects Site Plan And Subsequent Follow-Up And Implementation Planning. The Final Realization Of The Project Requires A Legally Binding Site Plan And The Securing Of Funding. The Competition Has Two Stages, So That In The First Stage, Applications For Participation Are Requested From All Willing Participants. Applications For Participation Will Be Evaluated According To The Comparison Criteria Presented In The Request For Participation, And The Five (5) Best Applicants Who Meet The Eligibility Requirements Will Be Selected For The Second Stage Of The Actual Design Competition. The Five Selected Competitors Will Each Be Paid 15,000 Euros (+Vat) For The Competition Work Returned Within The Deadline According To The Competition Program. The Prizes Are Paid Through The Finnish Architects Association And Safa Collects 7% Of The Prizes In Accordance With Its Competition Rules.
