The Purpose Of The Work Is To Draw Up A Track Plan Between Kattilakoski And Pello (Track Kilometers 970+850 – 1004+260) In Accordance With The Railway Act And The Instructions Of The Finnish Railways Agency. The Kattilakoski-Pello Track Plan Is Part Of The Tornio - Kolari Electrification Planning Project Of The Finnish Railways Agency. The Design Site Is Located In The Province Of Lapland, In The Municipality Of Pello, On The Track Section 2203 (Tornio) – Kolari, Which Is A Non-Electrified, Single-Track Mixed-Traffic Line. The Planning Area Includes E.G. Pello Traffic Point, 18 Level Crossings, 9 Identified Soft Rock Areas, 2 Open Rock Cuts, 8 Railway Bridges, Juokseng, Turtola And Pello Overpasses And The Pello Overpass. The Planning Includes Measures Necessary For The Electrification Of The Track Section On The Track Section Between Kattilakoski And Pello, As Well As Measures To Improve The Safety And Functionality Of The Track Section. In The Assignment, E.G. Electrification Of The Track Section, Space Reservations Required By Electrification, Pello Feeder Station (Juoksenki), Renewal Of The Turtola, Pello And Juoksenki Overpasses And The Pello Overpass Bridge, Foundation Strengthening Measures, Improvement Of Drainage, Improvement Of Level Crossing Safety, And Reindeer Fences.
