The Castle Town Of Hückeswagen Has Been Successfully Implementing The Integrated Urban Development Concept (Isek) For Several Years Now. A Central Component Of This Development Is The Established City Management, Which Has Been Acting As A Connecting Element Between Administration, Politics, Citizens As Well As Local Actors And Businesses Since Spring 2023. It Contributes Significantly To Transparency, Communication And Active Participation And Supports The Positive Development Of The City Center. The Current Funding Phase Ends In 2026. However, In The Following Years 2027, 2028 And 2029, Further Central Structural And Functional Redesign Measures In The City Center Area Are Pending. These Particularly Concern Important Urban Areas And Key Projects With High Public Awareness. In Particular The Lighthouse Project “Castle For Everyone!” As Well As The Redesign Of The Old Town Streets Leading To The Castle Will Be Implemented By 2028 And 2032 Respectively.
