Prior Information Notice For Forest Monitoring Or Evaluation Services – Provision Of Services Within The Framework Of Monitoring Control Enclosures In The Luxembourg Forest – Analysis Of Developments. The Contract Consists Of Monitoring Control Enclosures (Enclosures/Exclosures) In Luxembourg Public Forests In Order To Verify The Existence Of A Possible Sylvo-Cynegetic Imbalance And To Assess The Pressure Exerted By Large Fauna On The Forest Ecosystem. The Work Includes The Preparation Of Field Campaigns, Carrying Out Field Surveys, Collecting Data And Encoding It. The Field Surveys Will Focus In Particular On The Number, Height And Diversity Of Tree Species Present Inside And Outside The Enclosures. This Contract Is A Continuation Of The First Cycle Of Monitoring Of Control Enclosures, Carried Out Between 2024 And 2026 On Around 150 Enclosures/Exclosures. It Corresponds To The Second Cycle Of Surveys Of These Devices And Is Essential For Analyzing The Evolution Of The Vegetation Inside And Outside The Enclosures Over Time. Only The Comparison Of Several Monitoring Cycles Makes It Possible To Assess The Impact Of Large Wildlife On Forest Regeneration And To Highlight A Possible Modification Of The Species Composition, Or Even A Progressive De-Mixing Of Certain Forest Species. The Data Collected Will Be Reported Annually In The Form Of Tables, Diagrams And Statistical Summaries For All The Control Enclosures Recorded During The Year. The Exact Locations Of The Enclosures To Be Identified Will Be Defined By The Contracting Authority After The Award Of The Contract, Then Specified Annually. The Working Languages ​​Will Be French, German And/Or Luxembourgish. Preferably, Each Field Team Will Include A Person Speaking Luxembourgish, Which Will Facilitate Exchanges With Land Owners Or Managers. The Work Must Be Carried Out In Accordance With The Instructions And Methodology Of The Forest Service Of The Nature And Forestry Administration, Which Is Responsible For Monitoring And Controlling The Services. The Survey Campaigns Are Planned Annually At The Beginning Of Spring, Before The Vegetation Bursts, For The Period From 2027 To 2029.
