Historical Monument Or Memorial Construction Work – Restoration Of The Apollo Theater Of Patras For Its Functional Reuse With The Strengthening Of The Supporting Organization Of The Palace Of Speech And Art (Phase B) In The Context Of Hy2 And Hy7 Of The Act Restoration Of The Apollo Theater Of Patras With Its Functional Reuse. The Project Concerns The Restoration And Promotion Of The Apollon Theater Of Patras As A Newer Monument Particularly Connected To The Historical Memory Of The Citys Residents And Its Functional Reuse As An Active, Modern Theater Stage And As A Concert Venue And Music Scene Of The City. The Apollo Theater Is Located In A Central Part Of The City Of Patras, In Vas. Georgiou I Square And Is A Point Of Reference For The Citys Cultural Identity. It Was Built According To The Plans Of The German Architect E. Ziller And Is An Excellent Example Of Neoclassical Architecture Of The 19Th Century. Its Construction Work Began In 1871, And The First Performance Took Place On October 10, 1872. It Has Been Characterized By The Ministry Of Culture As A Building In Need Of Special Protection (Government Gazette 326/T.B/19.3.1975). It Is The Permanent Home Of The Municipal Regional Theater (Di.Pe.The) And Hosts Concerts And Various Cultural Events. The Theater Shows Extensive Wear Due To Its Use And Significant Alterations From Previous Phases Of Repairs And Renovations (Period 1956 To 1970) During Which Reinforced Concrete Elements Were Constructed. Approval Of The Final Study Entitled: Study For The Restoration Of The Apollo Theater Of Patras With Its Functional Reuse (Subproject-1) And B. Approval Of The Conservation Study Of The Decoration Of The Apollo Theater In Patras, P.E. Of Western Greece (Subproject-3) And With No. Yppo/521529/27.11.2025 Decision Regarding The Update Study Of The Palace Of Speech And Art, Following The Implementation Study Entitled Study For The Restoration Of The Apollo Theater With Its Functional Reuse For The Project Of The Complete Restoration Of The Theater And The Architectural And It Reorganization - Renovation Of The Functionally Necessary Part Of The Newest Building Of The Great Speech & Art. The Works Included In The Two Sub-Projects (Ye2 And Ye7) Of The Action Restoration Of The Apollo Theater Of Patras With Its Functional Reuse Are Summarized As Follows: Ye 2: - Restoration Works Of The External Facades With Cleaning, Repair Of Cracks, New Colors. - Removal Of Existing Coatings, Control And Reinforcement Of Masonry And Application Of New Ones. - Replacement Of The Existing Roofs With Modification – Restoring The Geometry Of The Roof Of The Stage Tower And Applying A New Roof With Wooden Beams And Tile Overlay. - Replacement Of The External Frames According To The Original Form Of The Theatre. - Strengthening Operations For Reasons Of Static Adequacy Of The Theater And The Great Speech And Art. - Provision For Disabled Access To The Theater Premises. - Creation Of A Single Internal Corridor To Connect The Theater With The Palace Of Speech And Arts, In Which The Foyer Of The Theater Is Formed
