Work Detail
Architectural, Construction, Engineering And Inspection Services - Creation Of A Hydrological Catchment Area Model For The Ezg Of Dosse And Jäglitz Phase Iii: Development Of Management Concepts And Transfer Of The Forecast Model Into Real-Time Operation. (Excerpt From Service Description) 1. Initial Situation The Study On The Dosse And Jäglitz Water Balance Is Intended To Develop Technical Foundations For Future Management Of The Water Supply For The Landscape Water Balance In The Dosse-Jäglitz Catchment Area. Investigations Have Already Been Carried Out In Two Previous Project Phases. An Essential Part Of Phase 1 Was Initially The Analysis Of The Water Supply In Its Spatial And Temporal Distribution In The Catchment Area And The Associated Options For Water Provision, Taking Into Account The Dosse Storage Facility For The Initial Situation. In Phase 2, A More Intensive Analysis Was Carried Out, Taking Into Account All Water Management Control Units (Weirs, Bed Slides, Etc.) And With A Particular Focus On The Interaction Between Groundwater And Surface Water. For This Purpose, The Water Balance Model (Arcegmo) That Already Existed In Phase 1 Was Expanded With An Approach To Simplify The Representation Of This Interaction And Validated Using Coupled Models Newly Built In Focus Areas. The Model Was Created And Used With The Following Objective: - Representation Of The Actual State And The Current Reservoir Management - Identification Of Deficits And Derivation Of The Need For Adjustment With Regard To Water Volume Management/Influencing Factors On The Water Balance - Proposals For Reservoir Management In The Reporting Watercourses As Well As The Volume Flow Control Of Discharges And Transfers With Regard To The Different Requirements (Water Provision For Nature And Agriculture, Water Retention For Low Water Prevention And Water Drainage And Transfer To Protect Against Flooding During Heavy Rain) - Further Development Of The Model And Definition Of Requirements For An Operational Management Model/A Real-Time Forecast Model Building On The Results Of Service Phase 2, The Following Requirements Arise For The Use Of The Model Bases Created And The Effective Use Of The Real-Time Forecast Model For Future Water Management In The Dosse-Jäglitz River Basin: Requirements Of The Wbv - Investigations To Prioritize The Repair Of Small Dams As A Basis For Planning Renovation And Applying For Funding. - Creation Of Storage Concepts Or Management Concepts In The Focus Areas In The Dosse Lowlands Developed In Phase 2 With Recommendations On Storage Goals And Control (Staff Shortages Limit Operation Of The Systems). - The Operation Of The Real-Time Forecast Model Is Technically Possible, But Challenging In Terms Of Personnel, So A Test Operation Is Required To Effectively Use The Model System With Intensive Exchange And Communication Between The Contractor And The Water And Soil Association. - The Data Logger Measurements In The Measuring Points Set Up At The End Of 2024 Should Be Continued (Recording The Current Status As Well As In The Future
