Bids Are Invited For 6223 - Prime Consultant (Architectural) New Construction Of 6 Classroom Addition At Dormick Park Elementary School

The Board Of Education Of School District #34 – Abbotsford (Abbotsford School District) Has Received Ministry Of Education Cpfa Approval To Construct A New (Wood Or Steel) Prefabricated School Addition At Dormick Park Elementary. The Approved Construction Budget Is Capped At $6,000,000 And Shall Not Be Exceeded. Delivery Method Will Be Construction Management Using A Ccdc-5A Construction Document. The Anticipated Opening Date Is Scheduled For January 2028.Proposals Are Invited From Architects With:A Minimum Of 5 Years Registered, Professional Architectural Experience, Together With;A Minimum Of 3 Projects Of Similar Size And Scope In The K-12 Public Sector Within The Previous Ten Years.The Intention Is To Select A Prime Consultant (Architectural), With Identified Personnel, To Retain Under Contract. Only B.C. Registered Architects In Good Standing With Their Professional Association Will Be Considered. As A Result Of This Competition, The School District Intends To Contract With A Prime Consultant Who Will Utilize Best Practices To Ensure That School Facilities Are Designed To Ministry Of Education And Child Care Guidelines, Constructed, And Tested To Perform According To The Design Intent, And The School District’S Operational Needs.
