Tenders are invited for Preservation Assets Operations and Maintenance Service (Paom-Ser) ESA operates one of the worlds largest Earth Observation (EO) data archives, with data from missions dating back to the mid 1970s.Preserving these datatogether with the information and tools needed to interpret and use themis essential to analyse long-term environmental changes and support future decision-making. Within the EOF-EOS framework, long-term preservation of ESAs EO data holdings (Heritage Missions, Earth Explorers, Third Party Missions) and associated information and software is ensured through the Space Data Preservation System (SDPS), with assets located at ESRIN and external sites.Despite major progress, a significant volume of EO heritage data remains stored on legacy media at ESRIN and still requires transcription, recovery, and preservation in line with international standards. Beyond preservation and access, heritage data must be curated and improved to ensure continuity and comparability with newer missions. The generation of thematic collections and geographical datasets has further enhanced their usability and value.The Preservation Assets Operations and Maintenance (PAOM) Service will:Operate, maintain, and evolve Space Data Preservation System (SDPS) assets located at ESRIN;Manage the ESRIN EO Legacy Media Archive and Transcription Chains and perform legacy media transcription and data recovery;Generate thematic collections and geographical coverages using heritage data;Manage the ESRIN laboratory activities in support to transcription chains set-up and Philab Air Quality Platform activities, and manage and maintain the ESRIN AF Antenna;Support local visits at the Heritage Missions Walkthrough and Memorabilia Wall located at ESRIN and heritage missionsrelated outreach activities.Read more Tender Link : https://esastar-publication-ext.sso.esa.int/ESATenderActions/filter/open
