Tenders are invited for Good Practices Research and Knowledge Consultancy SCOPE OF WORK Under the supervision of the Global Insights Manager, the consultant will undertake the following tasks. 1. Develop the analytical approach Review IDMCs global repository of good practices and relevant research on disaster displacement. Develop an analytical framework and coding approach, in consultation with IDMC. Prepare a short inception note setting out the methodology, report structure and workplan. 2. Review and prepare incoming practices for publication Review incoming practices against IDMCs criteria and template. Identify and follow up on gaps, unclear claims or missing evidence. Substantively edit, copy-edit, format and support the publication of 5 shortlisted practices as case studies. Light edit additional shortlisted practices to publish on the global repository. 3. Undertake a comparative analysis of relevant practices in IDMCs repository Identify recurring principles and enabling conditions. Examine common implementation challenges, barriers and trade-offs. Consider relevant issues such as governance, institutional coordination, participation, inclusion, data and evidence, legal and policy frameworks, financing, implementation capacity, accountability, monitoring and sustainability. Distinguish between demonstrated results, promising approaches and areas where evidence remains limited. Assess how context affects the relevance and transferability of different practices. Identify what constitutes a strong good practice addressing disaster displacement. Set out the principal actions countries should consider when designing, implementing, monitoring and adapting relevant measures and policies. Where relevant, draw lessons from conflict displacement practices for complex situations affected by both disasters and conflict. 4. Translate the findings Translate the analysis into: o A full analytical report for IDMC and other technical or policy audiences. o A concise two-page policy brief presenting the main principles and priority actions for policymakers and national authorities. o 4 country and 1 regional brochures to be produced Tender Link : https://www.nrc.no/procurement/
