Tenders are invited for Registration of Suppliers for Vehicle Repair and Servicing Works - 2027 / 2028. 1. All mechanical repairs including diesel and petrol vehicle engine overhauls, tinkering, painting, diesel pump repairs, and lathe work 2. Vehicle air conditioning repairs and servicing 3. Electrical work (starter motor, alternator, and electrical wiring systems) 4. Vehicle cushion work and upholstery 5. Vehicle servicing and interior cleaning 6. Supply and fitting of tires, wheel alignment, and wheel balancing 7. Supply of batteries 8. Technical works including cassette recorders, reverse cameras, electronic systems, and vehicle security systems 9. Fitting of wiper blades, door visors, and window tinting 10. Provision of fitness certificates, vehicle condition reports, and valuation reports 11. Provision of towing services for vehicles requiring repair (carrier service) 12. Hybrid vehicle repairs Qualification Criteria for Registration as a Supplier : 1. Must be a business registered in Sri Lanka to provide the above services (a certified copy of the Business Name Registration Certificate must be submitted with the application). 2. Applications submitted for registration will be examined to confirm eligibility and compliance with the conditions stated in the application form before registration as a Ministry supplier. 3. Must possess a minimum of 02 years of experience in the relevant service (supporting documents must be submitted). 4. Audited annual financial statements for the past two years (2023/2024 and 2024/2025) must be submitted. 5. The workshop/garage must be located within approximately 20 km from the department premises (measured as aerial distance using Google Maps centered on the Customs Department premises). 6. In addition, workshops/garages must be located within approximately 20 km of sub-preventive offices located island-wide (Katunayake, Jaffna, Trincomalee, Mattala, Hambantota, Galle, Beruwala) apart from the Head Office (measured as aerial distance using Google Maps centered on each sub-preventive Customs premise). 7. Value Added Tax (VAT) registered entities must submit a VAT clearance certificate issued by the Inland Revenue Department. Application Forms will be Issued on the Five Working Days of the Week from 9:00 am on 16.10.2026 to 3:00 Pm on 29.10.2026. To Obtain an Application, an Authorized Written Request on Company Letterhead must be Submitted along with a Receipt Obtained by Paying a Non-Refundable Registration Fee of Rs. 1,500/- to the Shroff under the Name of the Director General of Customs.
