Bids Are Invited For H.H. Gral Defense Zone 1 Called 2026 Reg.Los Ríos

The Purpose Of The Tender Is To Select Lawyers, Natural Persons Or Legal Entities That Have Lawyers, For The Provision Of Public Criminal Defense Services To Defendants Who Do Not Have A Lawyer And Who Are Attributed Participation In A Crime From The First Actions Of The Procedure Directed Against Them And Until The Complete Execution Of The Sentence, As Appropriate, Which Are Under The Jurisdiction Of Guarantee Courts, An Oral Criminal Court, Or The Respective Courts. The Above Will Be Carried Out Through The Contracting Of Defense Teams That Will Sign A Specific Contract In A Bidding Area, From A Regional Defenders Office, As Established In Annex 1. Annex 1 Will Contain The Call And Calendar Of The Tender, The Estimate Of Causes, Requirements Or Population With Respect To Which Each Defender Must Process Or Through Any Of The Members Of The Defense Team In The Area, As Appropriate, For The Provision Of The Criminal Defense Service, As Well As The Percentage Estimated Number Of Cases Or Requirements That Could Be Assigned Per Year And The Maximum Number Of Cases Or Requirements To Be Processed Simultaneously. Additionally, Annex 1 Will Specify The Guarantee Courts, Courts Of Common Jurisdiction, Oral Trial Courts And The Respective Courts, In Which The Tendered Defenders Must Carry Out Their Work, As Well As The Penitentiary Facilities, Detention Centers And Other Establishments In Which The Accused Comply With Any Precautionary Measure Or Security Measure, As Appropriate. The Provision Of A Tendered Public Criminal Defense Service Will Be Understood To Be That Which Requires A Lawyer Who Is A Member Of A Defense Team To Comply With All The Functions Inherent To The Role Of A Public Criminal Defender, Which Includes The Set Of Judicial, Extrajudicial And Administrative Actions Carried Out Personally By The Lawyer Or Through Any Of The Members Of The Defense Team, To Comply And Execute In A Diligent And Timely Manner The Provision Of Defense In All The Cases Or Requirements That Were Assigned To Him As A Regular Or Delegated Defender, During All Stages Of The Criminal Process. And Until The Complete Execution Of The Sentence; And Carry Out Tasks That The Chief Local Defender, The Regional Penitentiary Coordinator, The Regional Head Of Studies Or The Respective Regional Defender Or Whoever Entrusts Him With In Relation To Shifts, Coverage Or Other Similar Tasks. The Tendered Public Criminal Defense Services May Include The Defense Of Defendants At Any Stage Of The Criminal Process And Its Different Specializations, Such As Juvenile Defense, Indigenous Defense, Defense Of Foreigners, Defense Of Convicted Persons, Among Others, Until The Complete Execution Of The Sentence, Whether Said Compliance And Execution Is In The Closed Medium Or In The Free Medium. A Defense Team Is Understood To Be Made Up Of The Lawyer(S), Administrative Assistants, And Other Specialized Support Members, Who Contribute With Their Work To The Activities Of Providing The Defense Service. Said Defense Equipment Will Be Determined In Annex 1.
