Expression of Interest for Advisory Services on Capacity Building Support for WMSME Access to Finance in Rwanda Description: Advisory services to inform World Bank technical assistance to the National Bank of Rwanda under the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi) Code in Rwanda. The firm is engaged by, and performs services for, the World Bank. The firm will analyze the capacity gaps that prevent women-owned and women-led MSMEs in Rwanda from accessing finance and how these differ by stage of financing readiness; distil lessons from comparable programmes in Rwanda and internationally, including indicative delivery costs and design parameters; develop generic credit-readiness training materials and a WMSME business development toolkit, field-tested with a sample of approximately 50 WMSMEs in Kigali to assess their relevance, usability and suitability for adoption by BNR and We-Fi Code signatory institutions; and prepare recommendations for the World Bank and its government counterpart on the design of future WMSME capacity-building support. Firms should be registered to operate in Rwanda, with demonstrated analytical and research capability on MSME finance and familiarity with Rwandas financial sector.
