As Part Of This Procurement Process, The Client Is Tendering For The Renewal Of The Eternus Cs8800 Data Backup System Operated At The Cologne Location, Including The Switches Required To Connect The Physical Tape Libraries. The Objectives Of The Award Measure Are To Procure A Technologically Up-To-Date Eternus Cs8800 Including All Necessary Licenses And To Conclude A Maintenance Contract Until December 31, 2029 With An Optional Extension For A Further Twelve Months Until December 31, 2030. The Scope Of Services Also Includes The Delivery, Installation, Integration And Commissioning Of The New Components Into The Existing Environment As Well As The Necessary Configuration And Migration Work Up To Acceptance. The Provision Is Divided Into The Following Service Areas: - The Delivery Of Hardware Components For The Eternus Cs8800 As Well As The Switches For The Connection To The Physical Tape Library; - The Provision Of Services For Installation, Configurations, Connection Of The Physical Tape Library Via The Switches And Cascading To Ismaning For The Client In Cologne And The Necessary Configuration Work Up To The Complete Integration Of The New Eternus Cs8800 And Switches; - Carrying Out Comprehensive Integration Tests; - Carrying Out The Migration Of Data From The Previous Eternus Cs8800 To The New Eternus Cs8800; - The Transfer Of Ownership Of The New Eternus Cs8800 And Switches; - The Productive Commissioning Of The New Eternus Cs8800 And Switches Up To Acceptance; - Return Of The Eternus Cs8800 Hardware Components To Be Replaced (Exception: Non-Volatile Data Carriers Must Remain With The Customer). The Use, Risks And Burdens Of The New Eternus Cs8800 And Switches Are Only Transferred To The Client Upon Acceptance. The Future Contractor Must Begin Providing The New Eternus Cs8800 And Switches Immediately After The Contract Has Been Awarded. Acceptance Of The New Eternus Cs8800 And Switches Will Take Place By June 30, 2027 At The Latest (= Relatively Fixed Date).
