Descriptionfrøya Municipality Invites An Open Tender For The Felling Of Sitka Spruce In The Valen–Flatval Area, As Stage 2 Of The Municipalitys Work To Combat The Species. Sitka Spruce Is Classified As Having A Very High Ecological Risk And Threatens, Among Other Things, Coastal Heather, Where Frøya Has A Significant Share Of The Countrys Mapped Area. The Assignment Includes Felling Of Up To 5,000 M³ Of Sitka Spruce Down To 4 Cm In Diameter At Breast Height, With Pruning, Handling Of Felling Waste, Off-Road Transport, Off-Road Transport And Repair Of Terrain Damage. The Client Also Has The Right To Call For Up To 1,000 M³ At A Unit Price Derived From The Total Price. The Sitka Spruce Stands In Small, Scattered Fields With Poor Bearing Capacity And Proximity To Buildings, And The Operating Conditions Differ Significantly From Traditional Forestry. The Supplier Must Follow Up The Landowners Through Inspections Of Each Property And Provide A Dedicated Contact Person For The Municipality And Landowners. The Effect Accrues To The Supplier, And The Value Must Be Included As A Deduction In A Fixed Total Price. The Work Must Be Carried Out In The Period 1 December 2026 To 15 March 2027, And The Contract Will Be Awarded To The Offer With The Lowest Total Price Among Offers That Meet The Requirements. Entering Into Contracts Requires Political Approval And Agreement With At Least 75 Per Cent Of Affected Landowners. A Joint Inspection Will Be Carried Out On 13 October 2026, And The Client Wants Input On The Tender Basis During The Question Period.
