Road Salt – Supply And Transport Of Unwashed Road Network Salt (Bulk) In Order To Meet The Needs Of The National And Provincial Road Network Under The Jurisdiction Of The Region Of Epirus. The Object Of The Contract Is The Supply And Transport Of Unwashed Road Network Salt (Bulk), In A Quantity Of Approximately 7,100 Tons, With A Maximum Price, Per Ton, Of €100.00 (Without Vat), Which Will Meet The Conditions And Requirements Of The Current Legislative Provisions, To Facilitate The Movement Of Vehicles And To Deal With Emergencies From Any Snowfall - Frost At The National And Provincial Level Road Network, Under The Responsibility Of The Region Of Epirus, For The Months Of March-April 2027 And For The Winter Periods Of 2027-2028 & 2028-2029. Salt Is The Common Anti-Icing Material Used In Winter Road Maintenance. It Is Used Preventively, To Prevent The Creation Of A Layer Of Snow Or Ice On The Road Surface, But Also To Melt An Already Existing Layer Of Snow Or Ice. It Should Be Kept As Dry As Possible To Minimize Clumping Problems. It Is Recommended That The Moisture Content Of The Salt Does Not Exceed 5%. The Total Estimated Value Of The Contract Amounts To €710,000.00 Excluding Vat. A Detailed Description Of The Physical And Financial Object Of The Contract Is Given In Appendix I Of The Relevant Tender Announcement. The Contract Will Be Awarded On The Basis Of The Most Economically Advantageous Offer, Based Solely On Price. The Delivery Of The Lots Will Take Place Within 24 Hours At The Latest, After The Telephone Order Of The Competent Service Of The Region Of Epirus, Any Day And Time (Including Weekends And Holidays), Under Any Weather Conditions, Without Additional Financial Burden.
