Work Detail
Installation Of Road Signs – Traffic Safety - Modernization Of Mountain Railway Structures 6-10. The Listed Buildings Of The Bergbahn Heidelberg Funicular Railway Are Being Renovated In The Area Of The Schloss Station, For Which The Affected Road Must Be Completely Interrupted Or Narrowed To One Lane. In The Uphill Direction, These Are The Development For The Schloßberg City Street (Structure 6, Parts 6.1 And 6.2), The Development For The Neue Schloßstraße (Structure 8, Parts 8.1 And 8.2) And The Development For The Schloß-Wolfsbrunnenweg (Structure 10). In Addition, Structural Parts 7.1 And 7.2 (Retaining Walls And Stairs) Between The Schloßberg City Street And The Neue Schloßstraße Outside The Street Space Will Be Modernized. The Forecourt Of The Castle Grounds Can Be Reached Via The Very Steep And Cobbled Schloßberg Street Or Via The Actual Access Road, Neue Schloßstraße. Since Access To The Castle Must Be Permanently Ensured Throughout The Entire Construction Project, Structures 6.1 And 6.2 Will Be Modernized In The First Step (Construction Stage 1 With An Interrupted Schloßberg Road) And Only After This Work Has Been Completed Will Building 8 (Construction Stage 2 With An Interrupted Neue Schloßberg Road) Be Modernized. This Means That The Castle Can Always Be Reached Via One Of The Two Access Options. In Construction Phase 3, The Sufficiently Wide Structure 10 Will Be Renovated With Half-Side Closures And Signalized One-Way Control Along The Schloß-Wolfsbrunnenweg. In Order To Shorten The Overall Project Time, This Construction Phase Is Currently Planned Parallel To The Two Construction Phases Mentioned Above, As The Schloß-Wolfsbrunnenweg Only Connects To The Street Space Of The Other Two Construction Phases. The Traffic Safety Required For This Is An Extension Of The Two Basic Construction Phases. Due To The Change In The One-Way Regulation Between The North And South Sides Of The Schloß-Wolfsbrunnenweg, Construction Stage 3 Is Divided Into Two States, Whereby These Differ In That The One-Sided Footpath Remains Open When The South Side Is Closed. The Internal Construction Process For Construction Phase 3 Envisages A Double Change Of The One-Way Lane From The North Closure To The South Closure And Back To The North Closure. The Signaling Is Identical For Both Side Closures And Does Not Require Any Adjustment. Regardless Of The Actual Construction Work, The Current Parking Lot For The Castle Visitors Coaches Must Be Relocated To The Distant Visitor Car Parking Lot, As It Is Used As A Central Be Area. Traffic Sign Plan 4, Which Is Valid Throughout The Entire Measure, Must Be Implemented For The Signage Required To Block Car Parking Spaces In The Replacement Parking Lot And To Guide Disembarked Tourists To The Castle Entrance. Due To The Limited Usability Of Todays Existing Buildings, Usage Restrictions Have Already Been Put In Place. These Will Be Eliminated At The Start Of The Modernization Measure And, Where Necessary, Have Been Incorporated Into The Traffic Sign Plans To Be Implemented. This Resolution Is With The Previous
