Canal Tunnel Construction Work – Düker Kiel Canal: Lot 1 - Tunnel Structure Including Media Lines And Cables. Stadtwerke Kiel (Hereinafter Referred To As Swk) Plans To Modernize And Expand Supply Capacity And Security In The North Of Kiel. The Aim Is To Create An Audit-Proof And Low-Maintenance Connection To The Gas, Water, District Heating, Electricity And Telecommunications Lines. This Is To Be Achieved By Building A New Culvert Under The Kiel Canal To Accommodate The Media Mentioned. The Overall “Düker Kiel Canal” Project Is Divided Into Four Lots Including The Tunnel Structure And Media Lines (Lot 1), Connecting Lines (Lot 2), Technical Equipment (Lot 3) And The Expansion Of The Shaft Structures (Lot 4). The Subject Of This Lot 1 Is The Tunnel Structure, Including The Media Lines And Cables To Be Laid Therein, As Well As The Work Described Below: A) Construction Of An Approximately 880 M Long Dn 3200 Tunnel Structure With Reinforced Concrete Pipes Using The Pipe Jacking Method (Microtunneling) Under The Kiel Canal. B) Construction Of The Required Excavation Pits: Starting Excavation Pit As A Secant Bored Pile Wall With A Depth Of Approx. 11 M And An Internal Diameter Of Approx. 16 M; Target Excavation Pit With Extension For The Pipe Intake Ramp, A Total Of Approx. 40 M Long And Approx. 5.5 M Wide, In A Waterproof Sheet Pile Shoring With A Concrete Base. C) Pulling In And Installing The Media Lines And Cables In The Completed Tunnel Structure Over Approx. 880 M. The Plan Includes 3 Steel Protection Pipes Dn 600, 2 District Heating Pipes Kmr Dn 300/450, 2 Water Pipes Pe D 355, 2 Gas Pipes Steel Dn 200, 5 Cable Protection Pipes Pe 100 Sdr 7.4 D 200, 9 Cable Protection Pipes Pe 100 Sdr 7.4 D 140 And 5 Triple Pipes Pe D 50. There Are Also Filling And Ventilation Pipes Of The Contractors Choice. D) Damming Of The Tunnel Cavity Remaining Over Approx. 880 M After The Cables Have Been Moved In And Installed.
